De Cicco - Brassica oleracea - Broccoli
This is a very fine old Broccoli which you will love raw, cooked or freezing for later meals. It is excellent and it is also a fast producer that will help your crops and food availability. You can plant them and expect to be eating them within about six weeks, which means you can plant several plantings, and continue harvesting through out the winter.
You harvest the center (largest) stem first and then will continue to harvest the side shoots which are smaller for a very long time, increasing the quantity of your crop. You can plant them in August in the North and have crops before the first frost.
