It is excellent at attracting of butterflies, hummingbirds, and also small birds for their seeds. It is a detractor of deer and will withstand drought, loves dry soil, and shallow-rocky soils as well. And it will also not be bothered by the juglone (thujon) of Black Walnut trees. Also known as Bea Balm, and Wild Bergamot.
