Best to planted in the Fall by raking them into the soil and tamping it down about 1/8” shallow. They are a wildflower that Texas adopted in aboug 1901as their state flower. They are a legumeand therefore will collect and return nitrogen into the soil. The color is so intense and just wonderful. It is a real addition to any property.
