Black Hollyhock – Alcea Rosea

Description

They can reach 5-6’ tall so plant them at the back of your flower beds. This variety of hollyhock also makes beautiful colors as a natural dye. Pale blue to periwinkle blue – and light green to a nice dark green, depending upon which mordent you use. But they color well without a mordant.
