Aster Tongolensis – Wartburg Star

For centuries Asters (aka, Michaelmas Daisy) have been considered to be enchanted flowers. At one time it was thought that if you burned the leaves, that the scent of the smoke would drive away evil serpents. (Hey, its worth a try). I use granulated Sulfur now for the ‘serpent’ repealing. This is a very heavy bloomer and it absolutely shines in your gardens with their beautiful blue/purple blooms, and bright dark golden yellow eyes.
