Amaranthus – Illumination

Description

Amaranthus are drought-tolerant; suitable for xeriscaping, though it does need regular moisture. Self-sows freely; deadhead if you do not want volunteer seedlings next season, or you can bag the seed heads to capture ripened seeds for use next season, or to eat. It has also been known as red root pigweed in some areas.
