Alkanet – Anchusa Officinalis

Description

Anchusa is a plant that is home in South Eastern Europe, and enjoys the neglect it receives on warm dry sunny hillsides, or along railways. It has been used for a beautiful Ruby Red dye for fibers, and also to color oils and soaps where the
color will be from pink, to blue, to pruple depending upon how much oil is used.
